Commas, commas everywhere. But where should they really be? Comma placement can be confusing for students. This tip sheet explains the top three comma rules in simple, memorable terms.

Once I became an English teacher myself, I decided that I would make this sheet for my own students, so I could send them off to college with a strong working knowledge of punctuation.  While my handout is not rocket science, and Iā€™m sure many teachers have made similar sheets, I think that the lessons are helpful.  I would even encourage your students to make their punctuation sentences include vocabulary for extra gold stars!

Download and share with your students so they can reference it while they write.
