Sadlier Brothers Receive NCEA Seton President’s Award

Dinger brothers win award from NCEAOne of the highest possible honors in Catholic education, the 19th annual Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton President’s Award was recently bestowed on Frank Sadlier Dinger, Chairman, and William Sadlier Dinger, President of William H. Sadlier, Inc. for their commitment to Catholic education, its future strength and growth.

The Most Reverend Donald Wuerl, the Archbishop of Washington, and chair of the National Catholic Educational Association Board of Directors stated that the Awards event was “an opportunity to celebrate the success of Catholic schools and to thank individuals whose support has helped strengthen Catholic education at all levels in our schools, seminaries, colleges, and religious education programs.”

Dr. Karen Ristau, president of NCEA, added that “the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton President’s Award honors people whose lives are given to the actual work of Catholic education and through that work are well known across all educational ministries of the Church.”  She continued, “The history of the Sadlier family and their contribution to the educational publication world, especially to the writing and publication of religious education materials is the stuff of legends…a story of energy, hard work, intelligence, determination, and dedication.  The Sadlier Dinger family [are] pioneers in religious education.  Frank and Bill carry on the family tradition of excellence…it is their presence, their own time they give, which makes them exceptionally special to us.”

Upon accepting the Award, Bill Dinger stated, “We passionately believe that Catholic schools and parish schools of religion have an essential role in the education and moral development of the youth of our nation.  We will continue to work to see this role endures undiminished.”  “We will treasure this Award because it speaks to our life’s work” said Frank Dinger.
