William Sadlier Dinger participates in forum on Defining Educational Success in the 21st Century
10/22/10William Sadlier Dinger, President of Sadlier, was one of five distinguished education professionals and leaders invited to discuss the definition of educational success in the 21st century. Part of the discussion focused on the impact of Common Core State Standards. Offering his perspective, Mr. Dinger commented: “The new Common Core Standards have provided an opportunity for publishers of educational materials to adapt and modify their lines of products to the new set of expectations in Math and English/Language Arts. Teacher guides, lesson plans, course outlines and other materials will be entering the marketplace shortly.”
The panel discussion was moderated by Margaret Cuomo Maier, M.D., and took place during the fourth annual Grace Outreach Education Forum. In addition to Mr. Dinger, the panelists included Ann Tisch, founder of the Young Women's Leadership Network; Jennifer Raab, J.D., president of Hunter College; John J. Russell, Ed.D., head of the Windward School; and Dr. Pola Rosen, publisher of Education Update. Grace Outreach provides low income young women the opportunity to continue their education with the goal of achieving financial independence.
