I’m so excited to go to NCTE this year. As I began thinking both about my own preparations for NCTE and helping my mentee teacher Caitlin prepare for her first NCSS (National Conference of Social Studies), I realized that I have learned much over my many years of attending local and national conferences.  Here are my top five secrets to making the most of your professional conference -may you get it right the first time!
